Appointment Procedures

TourThisPlace.com photographers do not have access to Realtor "key boxes" (in most markets). Therefore, the agent or his/her representative must be available to give the photographer access to the property.

Although we prefer the agent to be present at the time the tour is photographed, it is not required. However, if the agent is not present, the shots taken will be at the discretion of the photographer. TourThisPlace.com claims no responsibility for the photographer’s selection of shots except in cases of extreme negligence.

The photographer will shoot the home as-is. That is, he or she will not move objects, straighten or dust objects, open or shut windows or doors, etc. The photographer will, however, turn lighting on or off and open or shut blinds if it results in better images.

The home must be clean and presentable at the scheduled time of the tour.

Due to the nature of photography, the environmental conditions of the home (such as a poorly lit room) may carry through to the virtual tour. Although we use professional lighting equipment and can enhance the photos if necessary, such conditions may still be evident in the final product.

Agent is required to have proper permission from the property owner to post information about property and photos of property on the internet.

Cancellation Policy

Twenty-four hours notice must be given to cancel or reschedule an appointment. If the appointment is cancelled or rescheduled with less than twenty-four hours notice, a $25 cancellation fee will be charged along with any applicable travel stipends.

All appointments are made regardless of the weather, except for extreme circumstances (such as flood, fire, earthquake, or tornado) or unless other arrangements are made with the photographer at the time the appointment is scheduled.

The photographer will wait a maximum of 15 minutes for the agent at the scheduled time of the tour. If the agent is more than 15 minutes tardy, it will be considered a cancellation.

Once the photographer has photographed a home, the tour may not be cancelled. The client will be charged the full price of the tour.

Travel Stipends

If the property to be photographed is outside of the normal coverage area of a TourThisPlace.com photographer, a reasonable travel stipend may be charged at the photographer's discretion. The amount of this travel stipend must be agreed upon by both the agent and the photographer prior to the appointment. In the event of cancellation, the travel stipend will be charged in addition to the $25 cancellation fee.

Posting Procedures:

Once a tour is processed, it will be posted to a unique Internet address. The virtual tour URL can be freely used to link to the agent's personal website, company website, MLS listing, or other appropriate sites.

TourThisPlace.com posting is automated with some MLS services. However, most MLS services do not allow automatic linking by virtual tour companies. In those cases, TourThisPlace.com will send you an IDX-compliant URL to link the tour to the MLS. Instructions for posting to the MLS are available upon request (in some markets).

TourThisPlace.com will post the virtual tour to any websites requested by the agent, if possible. Listing information must already be on the requested site before the virtual tours can be posted. In addition, TourThisPlace.com may need additional information in order to post the tour to each site:

• MLS Sites:
  • Agent must provide the name of the MLS service with which the agent lists.
  • The agent's MLS Login information may be required before posting can be completed (if such information is allowed to be shared by the local MLS board).
• Personal or Company websites:
  • Agent must provide the username, password, and website address of where to login to post the virtual tours; or
  • Agent must provide the e-mail address of someone TourThisPlace.com may contact to post the virtual tours to the designated site.
• Other Requirements:
  • TourThisPlace.com must receive all necessary property information to successfully post the virtual tour, including the complete property address and MLS #.
  • If there is not a field for the virtual tour URL on the designated website or MLS service, TourThisPlace.com will put the virtual tour URL in the description of the home.

TourThisPlace.com will e-mail still photos to the agent upon request (if applicable). However, TourThisPlace.com does not post still photos directly to personal/company websites, Realtor.com, MLS services, etc.

The virtual tour will be hosted for one year from the date of purchase, until the home is sold, or until the listing expires, whichever comes first. Upon request, TourThisPlace.com will host the tour beyond one year. TourThisPlace.com reserves the right to charge an additional fee for a tour that is hosted for over one year.
